Getting Started with the Ledger® Live App

1. Installing Ledger® Live

Ledger® Live is available for desktop (Windows®, macOS®, Linux®) and mobile devices (iOS™, Android™). To get started:

1. Visit the official Ledger® website and download Ledger® Live App for your platform ©®.
2. Follow the installation instructions to install the software.
3. Open Ledger® Live and select your language and region preferences.

Once installed, Ledger® Live launches a dashboard displaying portfolio overview and available functions.

2. Creating Your First Account

Ledger® Live allows you to create multiple cryptocurrency accounts. To create your first account:

1. Open Ledger® Live and navigate to the “Accounts” tab.
2. Click on “Add Account” and select the cryptocurrency you wish to manage (Bitcoin®, Ethereum™, Solana®, USDT®, XRP®).
3. Follow the prompts to link your device (Ledger Nano X, Nano S+) and generate your account.
4. Once created, your account balance and transaction history will be visible in Ledger® Live.

3. Connecting Your Ledger® Device

Connecting your hardware wallet to Ledger® Live allows you to manage crypto securely:

1. Use the USB cable (or Bluetooth for Nano X) to connect your Ledger® device.
2. Open Ledger® Live and navigate to “Manager”.
3. Ledger® Live will detect your device and prompt connection.
4. Once connected, you can install apps for Bitcoin®, Ethereum™, Solana®, USDT®, XRP® and other coins.

Device connection enables secure transaction approvals and account management directly through Ledger® Live.

4. Managing Your Coins

Ledger® Live allows you to send, receive, and monitor multiple coins from a single interface:

• Bitcoin®: Check balance, send, receive, and track transaction history.
• Ethereum™: Manage ETH and ERC-20 tokens, view gas fees, and interact with smart contracts.
• Solana®: Send, receive, and track staking rewards.
• USDT®: Manage stablecoins on multiple networks.
• XRP®: Monitor transactions and balances efficiently.

Ledger® Live aggregates all accounts in one dashboard, making multi-coin management intuitive.

5. Staking and Transactions

Ledger® Live supports staking for certain coins, allowing you to earn rewards directly from the app:

1. Select the cryptocurrency that supports staking (e.g., Solana® or Ethereum™ when applicable).
2. Click “Stake” and choose the validator or staking method.
3. Confirm the action on your Ledger® device.

For regular transactions:

• Navigate to the “Send” or “Receive” tabs.
• Enter recipient address, amount, and review fees.
• Confirm transactions securely through your Ledger® device.

6. Installing Apps & Portfolio Management

Ledger® Live uses apps to manage different cryptocurrencies:

1. Go to the “Manager” tab in Ledger® Live.
2. Select the coin app (Bitcoin®, Ethereum™, Solana®, USDT®, XRP®).
3. Click “Install” to add the app to your Ledger® device.
4. Use the “Portfolio” tab to view combined balances, gains, and recent activity across all coins.

Ledger® Live provides charts and portfolio insights for beginners and advanced users alike.

7. App Settings & Customization

Ledger® Live offers several customization options:

• Change currency display and units for Bitcoin®, Ethereum™, Solana®, USDT®, XRP®.
• Enable or disable notifications for transactions.
• Set theme preferences (light/dark mode) for a personalized dashboard.
• Manage device connections and app installations via “Settings”.
